OpenRath v2.0.0 Durable Runtime#

This page documents the Stable OpenRath v2.0.0 durable Runtime and Agent Server.

OpenRath v2 adds a durable execution plane and a tenant-scoped Agent Server while retaining the v1 Python façade.

What v2 adds#

Layer

v2.0.0 capability

Definition

Explicit @step and @router boundaries compile into canonical plans with revision identity.

Durable runtime

Runs, immutable events, per-step checkpoints, cancellation, deadlines, retry, leases, fencing, interrupts, and effect reconciliation.

Storage

SQLite for embedded validation; PostgreSQL for the production durable store; optional Redis signaling and S3-compatible artifacts.

Agent Server

Tenant/project-scoped HTTP and SSE resources with explicit action grants and bounded request, page, queue, and stream behavior.

Governed adapters

Provider, Tool/MCP, Sandbox, and Memory calls receive reduced context and policy decisions.

Operations

OpenTelemetry hooks, migration tooling, Compose/Kubernetes references, SBOM, scans, and deployment tooling.

Compatibility and deployment#

  • The v1 Python façade remains supported in v2.0.0.

  • The Agent Server exposes versioned /v1 HTTP and SSE resources.

  • v1 JSONL Sessions can be imported into the v2 history model.

  • The embedded profile uses SQLite for local workflows.

  • The service profile uses PostgreSQL with optional Redis signaling and S3-compatible artifact storage.

  • The operations guide covers rollout, backup, recovery, and incident workflows.
